Summer landscape

Don’t you love it when the sun rays stream through the clouds? That is what I intended to capture in this serene rural landscape, created with pastels. in this original pastel landscape, you can see the distant fields and hills, their colors lightened and softened with the atmospheric effects. The field in the foreground has soft red-orange dabs of color suggesting wildflowers and the middle ground portrays a field of lavender flowers. This quiet, country scene attracts the viewer’s eye with sunlight and blended lavender, blue, and grey in the sky. The room-view photo uses a similar frame; however, the other photo of the pastel work is pictured with the frame the art is in.
