This original painting was mostly painted plein air, meaning outside at the site. Although is wonderful to observe landscapes in this way, the artist needs to have all of his or her materials, an easel, a seat, and deal with the elements of sun, wind, or cold, insects, changing light and the comforts of an indoor studio. Regardless of possible negative circumstances, I do enjoy plein air painting and I hope this little landscape will find a happy home on the right person’s wall. The picturesque country farm buildings and the colorful trees and plants should add some cheer and comforting vibes to your space.
