My life’s work has been dedicated to sharing the joy of creating art with others.

I never run out of exciting ideas for painting. Nature is a source of inspiration for me. I delight in viewing sunsets, beautiful skies, morning light peeking through the trees, the amazing array of flower colors, shapes and forms of shells, rocks…, patterns of reflections in water. In this photo, above, I am working with pastels.

I also love a variety of art media and techniques. When you view my art I would hope you feel positive and joyful. Some paintings are calm, inviting relaxation; others are exciting and express movement and emotion. As artists, we express parts of ourselves. Through painting, I share various elements of my artistic vision.

After receiving a BS in Art Education from Penn State University, then a Masters in Art Education from Kutztown University, I had a rewarding career teaching art. Working with elementary and middle school students in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. I continued to learn and develop my art skills. Plein air workshops with oil paint provided some skills for further development, in addition to pastel classes and pastel and acrylic workshops. I often incorporate nature or natural themes in my art, but I also enjoy intuitive abstract painting, exploring design elements and art materials. I am happy to have the time in my life to create art. In addition, I am involved with several online art groups which provide feedback, resources, and encourage further growth and connections in the field of art. My husband and I will be traveling with our RV camper, going on cruises, and other trips. I would love to share the fun adventures and exciting parts of the world we visit. Don’t miss out!
