Growth. Breathe Series

This painting would look attractive hung together with the other 2 in the Breathe Series. The paintings in this series began with a fun exploration of applying brown and cream color paint and achieving some interesting textures. I added some paper collage pieces with text, the refined and painted over almost all of the surface. I added variations of blue hues, some beige, grey, pinkish, peach, and white. To me, this color palette is very relaxing. In this piece, I included some leaves because it already had vines and I enjoy and appreciate nature and natural elements. Working intuitively, at one point in painting, I saw the image of lungs appear in one of the works, so I call this series of 3 “Breathe”. I hope this is a time of contentment for all of us. It is time to breathe, relax, do what needs to be done, and be grateful for what we have.
