I loved using these luscious red colors of pastels in this painting. The curving, layered petals, along with the various hues and shadows create depth and realism. There is a variety in the shapes, colors, and sizes of leaves and I always enjoy creating space to see the background sky, which is a lovely blue color. This is one of my favorite paintings and I think it will look fantastic as a large print.
